Description

This course will focus on the issues of personal and social changes and continuities which accompany and follow physiological puberty. Topics to be covered include physical development, autonomy, identity, intimacy, and relationship to the community. The course will present cross-cultural perspectives on adolescence, as well as its variations in American society. Both theoretical and empirical literature will be examined.

Requisite: PSYC 100 or permission of instructor.  Limited to 25 students.  Spring semester. Professor Aries.

If Overenrolled: Priority given to juniors and seniors and student doing the 5-College teaching certificate.
