Description

A first course in the critical reading of selected major British and American poets.  Attention will be given to prosody and poetic forms, and to different ways of reading poems.  We will read poetry by Shakespeare, Donne, Wordsworth, Browning, Dickinson, Stevens, Moore, O’Hara, Snyder, and others.

Spring semester.  Professor Nelson.
